Help! I Need to Rest!

If only we were taught to rest, 

create a practice to pause and say it’s okay, 

how easy could’ve life been?

To rest is not to quit! 

Fit standards, 

live for family’s pride, 

and maintain egos; 

everything’s internalised.

I cannot pause it now, it’s too late.

I’m tired,  and I know I need to rest, 

yet I keep running, without knowing how to rest.

Oh, teach me to rest, I’m tired!
